A Midwestern Welcome
Erin Reed will be the Keynote Speaker at the LGBTQ+ Summit. Erin has been a phenomenal figure for trans equity, both in her work on the HRT map that I have used for five years and her award winning work on providing fair and balanced coverage to stories of trans injustice across the nation. I would like to surprise her by giving her a bundle of fan mail. Actual, physical letters of appreciation.
So often, the people that do this work do not get the thanks or appreciation they deserve. This is a way to remind her that her work does have impact and does matter, around the entire nation, including the Midwest.

What do you write about?
Erin's work has saved lives. You can thank her for being a steadfast public figure for trans equity. For being a role model for trans individuals as advocates or journalists. Her work in connecting people to healthcare across the nation. She puts out the trans legislative safety map and puts all of the injustice around the nation towards trans individuals into the spotlight. Her work is radical, she's had people attempt to get swat teams called on her.
You don't necessarily need to know her or her work that well, to know she is a trans person who took the call to change the world. Doing the work other people should have been doing at a sacrifice to herself, because the alternative is nothing ever gets better.

Arts and Crafts
However you can get these letters together is fine! It can be hand written in an envelop, printed out, signed or not, on color paper with stickers, anything is fine! I encourage more colorful the better.
