WHO IS FAYE SEIDLER?

Hi! I'm a suicide prevention advocate that specializes in LGBTQ+ populations. I do this work because I'm a suicide survivor and I want to do everything I can to build hope and resiliency in North Dakota.

While I do serve all populations, my focus is making sure our LGBTQ+ youth in particular have hope, love, and safety. This is so important to me I've committed the rest of my life to this cause.

My work involves educating others, making connections, researching outcomes, writing grants, developing resources, publicly speaking, breaking barriers, desiloing services, and ultimately doing everything I can to build hope.

At the end of the day never forget you matter. And if you ever struggle, dial 988 for our suicide crisis lifeline or 211 to find general help, support, and a friend to talk to. Click on any of the pictures below to explore some of my work and services!

 WHAT IS FAYE SEIDLER CONSULTING?

I've changed my general brand to be Faye Seidler Consulting, Advocacy, and Philanthropy. I want people to understand that this work isn't a job for me. I want to do everything I can to make the world a better place and I'm a solutions focused woman. This means at different times I offer professional consulting, create opportunities through advocacy, or donate my time, information, and talent to create better outcomes in our state.

The driving force of my work is to reduce suicidality in North Dakota. My areas of expertise are LGBTQ+ populations, Secondary Trauma, and Suicide Contagion. I was born in North Dakota and I promise I will spent my life working to improve outcomes in this state.

Final Message

If it was all the same, I would've enjoyed a life of playing minecraft and writing silly stories.

But for some people, we're born with a call to respond to the needs of the world. And I was one such person. I couldn't imagine having been anything else. And I lived my life in service to others and to a better future. I lived with and carried hope, through the effort of my life every day.

I write this in the event, through random chance or tragedy, that I am no longer here.

And in that event, I want people to not lose hope. My life had always been a testament to the fact that the worst of us could still achieve some difference by believing in people, trying things against the odds, and always betting on the future. That even if you grew up in misery and hopelessness, you could grow into hope and be the hero you wish you had growing up.

So long as someone is trying, the fight isn’t over. And everyone is so much stronger and more capable than they realize. If I, as a person, was able to move the mountains I did, then just a couple of people could dwarf what I did with a little motivation.

If anyone wants to know the wisdom I gained in my life, it is everywhere. My Patreon is a full story to my thought process and activism. My Facebook is more or less everything I ever thought. The resources on my websites are guides. It is not hard to replicate and carry any of that work forward. It’s all just effort over time to anyone who is willing.

As Tony Bender said before me and I say now, if we want a better future we need to be kind. To ourselves and each other. Radical change, the kind that actually builds the foundation of a better future means forgiving enemies and making peace, even when, especially when, they don’t deserve it. It doesn’t mean being soft, but it does mean being at times forgiving and willing to turn a cheek.

My life was in service to making sure no LGBTQ+ youth went through what I did. That is the only legacy of mine that I care about and that matters. The one I hope continues, in any way, in every way. The 2025 LGBTQ+ State of the State Report is most of the data. What kids need is anything. They need to stop being ignored in totality by all of our systems and real support needs to exist. Not just for them, but to stop the violence so many kids grow up with as the bullied or the bully.

I dream of a shelter for trans youth and for so many of them to grow up with hope. That being realized is all I ever existed for. And I hope they can grow up learning and sharing stories like I did.

I’ll revisit this as time goes on and if I do. But I think it’s always prudent to have these messages written up in case.

Otherwise, here is how to Keep Hope While Fighting For Change.
